Southwest Living

It had been two years since we last visited the desert and our home in the Southwest, so this week, we took advantage of the opportunity to spend an extended weekend back in the Valley of the Sun!

I always bring my camera to capture photos of the places and things that we've missed most since we moved away from the Southwest, but we usually spend all our time making the most of visits with family and friends, that I don't ever shoot as much as I intended.

On this trip, we stayed close to our first home that we made together in Chandler, Arizona, and made stops for some of our favorite things like: Paletas Betty  which has the best handmade Mexican ice and cream pops, Some Burros – which has my husband's favorite burritos and salsa, and to one of the many great desert parks in the valley, Desert Breeze Park, which features a hummingbird habitat – though, sadly, I didn't catch any photos of wildlife on our visit.

We enjoyed the short time we spent "Southwest Living" again and hope to make it back for another longer visit later in the year.

How has your spring been thus far? What have you been up to?

We'd love to hear from you in the comments below, or on my Facebook or Instagram!
