A Mother's Day Staycation at the Hotel Valley Ho

Hi friends and happy summer! How are you? I can't believe how fast spring 2019 went by.

In between spring birthdays, graduations and work, the season quickly passed us by, and its only now that I am finding the time to write about my Mother's Day staycation at the Hotel Valley Ho resort in Scottsdale.

Over Mother's Day weekend, my husband spoiled me with a staycation at the historic Hotel Valley Ho: a chic, retro resort first opened in 1956 in downtown Scottsdale that once accommodated Hollywood stars like Cary Grant, Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner.

Though it suffered from disrepair for some time, within the last decade, the resort went through an extensive $80 million renovation to restore it to its former glory and was also placed on the Scottsdale Historic Register.

Today, it is truly a sight to behold, with features like floor-to-ceiling glass, mod decor, multiple pools, a restaurant and a spa. When we checked into our room, Ryan and I both agreed that it felt like we were stepping into a scene from our favorite show, "Mad Men."

We had an incredible stay at the Hotel Valley Ho, taking full advantage of the OHasis Pool right outside our room and the ZuZu Restaurant where we dined on classics like milkshakes and patty melts.

We also had a great time admiring the architecture, wandering the beautiful grounds and getting some energy out with Rosie before her naptime.

We wished we could have stayed at the resort longer but we'll just have to do with making a trip back soon! You can learn more about reserving a stay at the Hotel Valley Ho here.
