New Year, New Adventures

With a new year comes new resolutions. This year, I've made it my goal to spend more time traveling the Northwest with my family!

It's easy to get caught up in a routine, and since we've been living in Seattle we have spent most of our time settling into the area, exploring local hangouts and enjoying our first year together as a married couple (and now, with the addition of Olive, as a family).

We've watched Olive grow from an independent pup who couldn't walk up our stairs, to an almost four-month-old, 20 pound girl that now scales over logs on the beach, and continues to grow before our eyes... but I digress.

The point is, the Northwest is arguably one of the best places in the United States for back-road adventures and is also one of the most dog-friendly areas in the country. Although we've traveled through most of the Seattle area, we're planning on taking full advantage of these factors to make this year a year for new adventures in the Northwest and can't wait to explore as a family!

We started 2014 off right by taking Olive to a beach here in Edmonds to see the Puget Sound for the first time, where we all had a blast running together and playing a game of fetch in the water.

Thus far, Olive's favorite place is anywhere near the beach and if her love for the water continues, we're going to head down to Cannon Beach for a weekend on one of the most pet friendly spots on the Oregon coast!
